“Dimmed Lights” is a Blues Rock album by the guitarist Marcela de Campos. It was released on May 31, 2024 and is available on all platforms. A tribute to the Blues with captivating upbeat songs and a couple of ballads, the record intends to take the listener through a journey of lights and shadows as the title suggests.
Very guitar oriented, “Dimmed Lights” portrays Marcela’s main influences on guitar, such as Albert King, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Gales.
The combination of the strong vocals of Melissa Raye and Marcela’s powerful guitar solos is the highlight of the album, perfectly expressing the intensity that Blues music asks for.
The Record Release Concert was on July 7th 2025, at the Mercury Lounge in New York City. The band performed the whole record and a couple more Blues songs.
